Imágenes Liberadas
It is an old dream of mine to share this part of my artistic production. The COVID-19 Pandemic led me to explore alternatives to the traditional platforms —galleries, publishing houses, museums and similar institutions— and at the same time to nurture what has been in the last years my main connection to art: the free use of content on the web.
As a kid, I started drawing on objects, my own body and pieces of paper. Once an adult man, I alternated between periods in which drawing came to me spontaneously and periods in which I battled to create the appearance of a graphic impression. This is why I have almost always preferred to show xerox copies of my drawings instead of the originals.
The drawings in this project were made between 1982 and the early 2000s. Among them, there are illustrations I did for a zine published by gay activists, GAG & Sodoma (1984-1985), and series like The São Paulo Drawings (1982), The 1983 Drawings (1983) and The Puerto Madryn Drawings (1995).
Last, I accept and agree with the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons’ Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International Public License. This means each time a work is reproduced, its original authorship has to be informed, acknowledging the author. And that while the use of these pieces, and the creation of works inspired by them, even for commercial use, is allowed, all the resulting creations have to be shared (licensed) under the same conditions that regulate the use of my work: only demanding attribution and share alike.
